ZHeroes is a Wacky 3D Action Brawler game where you take control of Mike or Captain Dorian, or both in Co-Op, take bust-up some aliens and robot to save the Universe.

This is a fun and crazy brawler game where you can either play solo or have a friend join in to battle bizarre enemies mutated and created by the evil Dr Vendetta. Vendetta want to rule the universe and will stop at nothing to get his way. There is about 18 missions to do and you will upgrade you character’s abilities along the way. Upgrade you punches and kicks to unlock more combos and deal more damage. Improve your blocking/shield to drain less energy and reflect those incoming attacks. Lastly you can upgrade your blaster to deliver more damage on those pesky minions.

ZHeroes looks cartoony and zany and it fits well to the theme the developers tried to portray, the environment doesn’t change that much and some stages look a lot alike which could’ve been done better. The sounds can become overwhelming especially if you play where other people in your household can hear it but at the same time there isn’t anything drastically wrong with it.

It is a for $20 it is not a bad game although it feels a bit short, I would’ve liked it to be a bit more meaty like having more planets to protect, different weapons to equip and maybe a special power or two to unlock. It is a fun game to play Co-Op and anyone can pick up play it, playing it solo can become quite boring quickly.

ZHeroes is a nice to have game to have some quick Co-Op fun with friends but other than that it doesn’t bring a lot to the table. It is not a bad game at all but nothing great either.
