Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Dualist: Link Evolution first came out in 2015 but now you can enjoy it on your Switch. So, getting down to it, if you are a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! You will Love this game!

The first thing you need to know about Trading Card Games is that it is not about the story, not about the graphics and not about sound. It is all about collecting cards and building decks. With that said, this game has it all! It has a cool little story, great looking graphics and fitting sound.

The version on the Nintendo Switch includes all the previously released DLC and boasts over 9000 cards. This give you an incredible amount of options when building your decks and choosing your strategies. It is great that they included the recent link summoning introduced in 2017 with the link monster cards. There are some minor bugs that was brought over, like some game lags when the AI is busy thinking how to respond or when playing online. The other issue is that the difficulty is very unpredictable. You can play an easy opponent and just get hammered or it can be turned around and you can play a hard AI opponent but fly through the match to beat them.

The Switch version also supports full screen touch while playing in handheld mode which improves the gaming experience overall. The game has a lot of modes to keep you busy if the campaign mode is not enough but having a campaign that can keep you busy for over 30 hours per chapter, excluding the reverse play mode, is massive. The campaign is split into 6 chapters covering the 6 seasons of the anime, and it covers most of the iconic battles.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Dualist: Link Evolution is definitely a title worth owning on the switch and I know I will burn a ton more hours playing this game. One of my new favourite games to play on my Nintendo Switch.
