Not watching Wonder Woman should be a crime, why it took DC Comics this long to make this movie is a bigger crime.

Before Gal Gadot was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise hidden from the world of men. Diana’s paradise is shattered when an American pilot played by Chris Pine finds his way to the island during aerial battle, he tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world. Diane leaves her home for the first time and embarks on a mission to stop the threat. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

If only DC Comics could follow this strategy when bringing all their characters to their movie universe. The movie works so well on many levels, in adding to its overall Justice League Movie Universe and as a standalone. The character of Wonder Woman was someone fresh and unexpected for viewers saturated in superhero franchises. Even on the back of this DVD cover it has a “FRESH” certification by Rotten Tomatoes which is something I have never seen before on a DVD cover. Well I can write volumes on how amazing this movie but this is a must see movie which will appeal to a wide range of audiences.
