Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline Review

Watchdogs Legion: Bloodline reintroduces some of our favorite protagonists back into the game, in the form of Aiden Pearce and Wrench.

With Bloodline being a solely single-player focused expansion offering a campaign set before the events of WD: Legion i was excited to hop in and experience the new story.

The story kicks off with Aiden getting a fixer contract from Jordi which will send him off to London, hopefully meeting his nephew Jackson whilst in London. However, this soon goes south when in London as Wrench gets introduced into the Story stealing the item Aiden had to retrieve and setting off the events of Bloodline.

The campaign itself lasts between 6-8 hours, has 10 main missions and around 15 side objectives to play. I found this to be more than long enough especially as a nostalgic DLC.

The Expansion delivers a really fun experience especially if you have played Watchdogs 1 and 2 as these protagonists are perhaps the most iconic in the series.

The DLC itself still takes place in the same areas that the main game did, so you won’t find anything new in that regard, however, there are new enemy types that have their own mechanics on ways to defeat them, as well as the addition of a new Target.

The characters themselves have aged well since WD 1 & 2 and do get shown off pretty well in the new DLC.

The two new protagonists are only available to play in your WD: Legion main game with the season pass. If you buy the DLC only, you only get to play the single-player version with those characters.

  • Aiden and Wrench Return!
  • Really well written story.

  • Lacks a way to access both protagonists online outside the Season Pass
  • Minor bugs and glitches.
