Time To Get Ready For The rAge 2015 Cosplay Competition!!

In less than two months, the biggest gaming expo in South Africa will kick off in Johannesburg and one of the exciting annual events taking place at rAge is the LegionInk rAge 2015 Cosplay Competition. Wait scratch that, it’s the LegionInk / GES-SA rAge 2015 Cosplay Competition… Yes folks!! It’s official!! GES-SA will be partnering with LegionInk to present the country’s biggest cosplay competition in 2015!! How awesome is that?!

The cosplay at rAge has always been something that caught our eye and we’ve done quite a few posts on the costumes and cosplayers that we’ve met at rAge. You can found some of our rAge Cosplay coverage for 2014 here, and 2013 here. This year judging will take place over two days (Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October) with the main stage event and prize giving taking place on the Sunday afternoon, after the judging has been completed.

Cosplayers can enter in the following categories: Solo, Group, Costume, and for the first time, they can also enter in a Skit category! They can choose the skill level that they would like to enter at and they can enter in as many categories as they want, provided each one is an entry on its own, with its own entry fee payable, of course.

Entries to the cosplay competition has already opened and you can enter via these links:

We’re so stoked to be a part of the rAge 2015 Cosplay Competition and we are looking forward to interacting and meeting our Cosplayers in the run-up to the event as well as at the actual event itself. From what we’ve seen so far this year, our Cosplayers are on fire and we’re so excited to see what they bring to the competition this year!

Linda Jager
I’m proudly Geek and have a passion for all things pop-culture. Huge fan of The Walking Dead. Lover of gadgets and technology and although I’m not a gamer (sadly no hand-eye co-ordination) I find myself drawn to the gaming culture and community and how it connects with one of my biggest passions – collecting action figures and statues. I love to watch movies and series and there’s nothing better than having conversations with other people about the things I feel so passionately about. Being an 80’s child I am a huge fan of retro stuff and my Thundercats collection is one of my most prized possessions. That, and my A-Team van. Follow me on Twitter @LindaAtGES
