Lego games has come a long way and there is a big fan base as well. TT Games has also travelled the distance in the development of Lego games and has learned a lot of lessons to recently change things up a bit and keep on evolving. The Gameplay in The Lego Movie 2 Videogame is the same as that used in Lego World apart from some new mechanics and obviously it has new characters added.

You can expect the same game features as in other Lego games like performing tasks to collect special bricks, collecting special items and unlocking characters. Everything a Lego Videogame fans loves. With The Lego Movie 2 Videogame you can definitely expect more Awesomeness from the likes of Emmet, Lucy, LEGO Batman and mysterious characters General Mayhem and Rex Dangervest. There are over 100 characters to unlock and play with.

I like that the game plays close to the story line of the movie but that it doesn’t repeat it step for step, otherwise it will lose interest very quickly. It is great to see that they use the build instructions mode of Lego Worlds in the game, but it might be worth looking into if there is a mini-game opportunity here for big builds. I have always felt that it is cool that your character can build contraptions, but it might even be better if I can build them as my character. The Lego Movie 2 Videogame adds some cool new features to the Lego games and is definitely fun to play. Kids and Lego fans will have hours of fun running around battling bad guys, searching for relic and special bricks or rebuilding the world. Another fun Lego game to add to the collection and to enjoy with your friends. This is also the first new Lego game that will be available on the Nintendo Switch.

Likes: Great to have the build pages.

Dislikes: Would’ve liked maybe something similar to the DC Villians game
