Singstar will remain one of the favourites in the party game genre and PlayStation has decided to celebrate this achievement with some of the most awesome tunes of the ages.

Your play list consists of around 30 tracks that you can choose from and if you have previously purchased songs, then they will be available to you too. You can sing some old school tunes with the likes of Blondie (On way or another) or you can go back to my high school years (I’m not that old) and enjoy some Britney Spears (Oops, I did it again), but wait, it doesn’t stop there, you can stay in the present and belch out some OMI feat. Nicky Jam (Cheerleader).

There is music for everyone, it does matter what your age is or whether you can sing or not, this is just good old fashion fun.

Now for the technical stuff – the game provides you with options of the controls you would like to use. It has been signed to operate better on the Singstar mic app which is part of the PlayLink family and is available to download on Android or iOS but you are welcome to use the actual Singstar mics or even the mics on the PS4 camera.

As you play some of the gameplay gets recorded and you can watch yourself sing to your friends, loved ones or even your pets. You are more than welcome to upload your most embarrassing moments online or just keep them on the unit and delete them later with the hope that you will be able to forget how weird your face looked while you were singing Hello from Adele.

I would have liked a larger play list, but the game is still new and I am sure PlayStation will improve on it as time goes by.

Anyway, go get the game, sing your heart out and have some well-deserved fun for a change.
