Apex Interactive recently sent us a review sample of the Razer Quick Charging Stand for PS5.
The thing about PS5 Controllers is, with all the added functionality, Haptic Feedback, Dynamic Triggers, Built-in Microphone, and Speaker. All of these features really make your gameplay feel amazing, What isn’t amazing, however, is the cost of these features vs the controller battery life.
But you can just disable it you might say? True, Yes.
But why would I want to do that?
Especially when I have Razer’s new Charging Stand.
Designed to charge your controller from flat to full in under 3 hours, the Razer QCS is my new favorite addition to my PS5 Console.
The first thing you notice when unboxing the QCS is how the stand is tailor-made for your controller, it has a snug fit, is available in multiple colors to match your specific controller, and looks absolutely gorgeous next to the PS5 Console.
It also features a Razer logo on the front of the QCS, Just to remind you that this is in fact a Razer Product. One of my main gripes that I’ve had with the Playstation Charging dock that came with the PS5 is that the controllers don’t fit snugly, you have to wiggle them and make sure the orange charging bar is lit. With the Razer QCS, It has a much more snug fit so I never found myself needing to do this. This made my life a lot easier especially when you think your controller is charging and you come back the next morning to find out that it wasn’t. The Razer QCS is powered by a normal USB-A to USB-C Cable. This means that you can plug it into any normal USB Port, Like a Computer or Charging Block and you don’t need to look for specific USB-C ports. This also is a great feature as you don’t need any additional wall plugs just to charge your controller.
The only drawback I could find for the Razer QCS is the price point. It currently Retails at around R999 or R899 if you can pick it up on special anywhere, And that’s per controller. Is it worth it for these upgraded features?
I’d say so.
