PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds or better known as PUBG is the latest online Battle Royale game that is making waves online and it is finally available on Xbox One.
The Beta was initially released on PC in March 2017, the Xbox version sold over a million copies in just three days! The game is a PvP or Player versus Player game in which hundreds of players are thrown or “dropped” in a map to kill each other in a last man standing format.
The maps start off with players parachuting into a 8 x 8 KM playground. Every player only starts with the clothing on their back, so it is vital to quickly start pillaging for some weapons. You can play in third- or first-person perspective each having their own advantage and disadvantage.
As the time passes in the game, the map will start to shrink. Forcing players to search for each other rather than having campers. The shrink location is random as to not make it predictable and again to not have campers. If you are caught in the outside zone, you will start to lose damage until you move into the safe zone. During the match, some zones will become red and be bombed as well. Random supply drops can also happen by plane across the map.
The game is made to be fun and to try and make online gaming fun and fair. You will still need to spend time to increase your skills and learn the dynamics of the game but with all the random events that happen it feels as if the game gives everyone a fairer chance.
The game is well received, and players are rushing to play it every day, if you are a big fan of online multiplayer then this has to be in your play pile of games.
