We all know Lego games and what to expect from them but since Lego Dimensions we saw that the company is looking in going in different directions. Enter Lego Worlds, imagine having the freedom of building your own world out of Lego, populating it with different characters, no restrictions on what you can build or themes, Imagine no more!
The game was released in March this year and is available on PS4, PC, Xbox One and in September it will become available on the Nintendo Switch. So you can enjoy this title on your favourite platform. So, as you might have guessed, Lego Worlds is a Sandbox game but it has two different modes that will keep everyone entertained.
The first mode is an adventure mode where you travel across pre-generated worlds collect golden blocks to further your journey, you travel with a nifty Spaceship that looks to have their own cool personality but is not really further explored. Exploring these worlds are very interesting and you get to see all the different themes and worlds that Lego has to offer. The quests can become a little repetitive but it is to be expected to a degree. They do try to keep things interesting by having some little dungeon or cave that you need to progress through but you can just use the landscaping tools to get past it as well. I enjoy the adventure mode as I like to collect things and see what all I can unlock.
The free build mode is there for you to build and do what you want, here, your imagination is your only limitation. You can build form templates, use the clone tool or build brick by brick. Share your masterpieces, build with friends or just build something to smash it again, it is all up to you.
The first DLC released for Lego Worlds is the Classic Space pack. This brings back some awesome memories for me, I remember when I was little that I wanted the big spaceship Lego or the Moon Base station set but is was always just a little out of reach. I Loved how they brought back the old-style look of the Space theme and also the adventure stage is crazy fun. Meeting Aliens, shooting funny alien creatures and having some trouble with robots. For only R69 it is definitely worth buying to add this great pack to your Lego Worlds base pack.
I hope they bring out more awesome DLCs for Lego Worlds and knowing Lego, I’m sure they will. Lego Worlds is fun to play with friends and by yourself. Become a Master builder and show the world how Awesome you can build Lego.
