Sony made the choice to publish a new general knowledge game developed by Wish Studios, this game is called ‘Knowledge is Power’.
If anyone can remember though, with PS2 there was a game called ‘Buzz’ that served the same purpose, but instead of playing with your mobile device you had actual buzzers that you were required to play with.
Do not misunderstand me, I enjoy general knowledge games, they keep you on your toes and on top of current events, but let’s just call this what it is… a new attempt or revamp of ‘Buzz’.
Anyway, now that I may have insulted all parties involved, let’s get to the part where I tell you how epically awesome this game is and how much more fun it is than ‘Buzz’.
‘Knowledge is Power’ – is part of the playlink subsection in a series of games that PlayStation have released and will be releasing in the future. The game is played with an app you can download on your phone, but some of the games have the ability to be played with the controllers, this is, if your friends don’t want to download a 121MB app onto their phones to enjoy humorous banter from a big headed cartoon character with an attitude that can give any teenager a run for their money – once in a while when you decide to have a braai at your house.
Regardless of all of this, the game is so much fun and your tummy will ache with laughter for hours after you have decided to stop playing.
There are +/- 8 characters are at your disposal and each character has his or her unique personality. There are 12 levels to play and due to the games online capability, each category is filled with knowledge range from the Stone Age to current events.
I don’t want to spoil it any more that I already have so go absorb some general knowledge, download the game and app on all mobile devices and get playing. You won’t regret it.
