Knack was one of the launching Titles with the PS4 console and was greatly received as a new IP from SIE. Now we are graced with the sequel Knack 2 and a lot of fans was eager to see how they would improve on this game.
Knack is a mysterious creature created by Dr Vargas by studying ancient relics. Knack is made of these ancient relics and this allows him to change his size and absorb certain elements at times. Changing his size always helps when he needs to get into tight places or when he has big foes to face.
Straight off the bat what caught my attention is that you can play the game in Co-Op mode. This is fantastic for an Action-adventure type of game, it is always more fun to play it with friends. An added feature is that a second player can drop out at any time during the game and the game will automatically switch to single player mode.
The controls have been improved and Knack now has more arsenal to his exposal. Punch and Kick combos are learned as you progress and with the new skill tree, you can unlock more powerful moves and in a limited choice of your own.
I fell in love with the first game, especially on how they capture the entire experience. Obviously, the graphic blew me away, then incorporating the Dual Shock 4’s speaker when you gain new relics etc., it just all gelled together to create an amazing game and it is wonderful to see that they just kept improving on this great recipe. The game is even more addictive now, and people who love playing games with their partner or local couch Co-Op, this game is a definite must.
Knack 2 offers a great new adventure, and gamers new to the series can jump in here as well as it will just motivate you more to go and play the first game.
