An Open World RPG that is fresh but at the same time can feel that it goes to far off the norm. Kingdom Come Deliverance, has unique gameplay, and interesting story and hectic combat mechanics.
When you start off on your journey you will be shown some limited things to do and then the game basically leave the rest up to you, for instance, the first time you have to fight you do not really get shown what to do and the controls is not just a one button masher. After the combat the game will give you the info on how to actually fight and it can be quite harsh as getting a big hit on your head might just leave you dead. It gets better as you learn to control things and the game plays heavily on give or take, like wearing a helmet will protect your head but impairs your vision.
The game looks amazing but at points you can see it is not a triple A release, the developers really tried to bring in a fresh new arch to open world RPG and at most points it does work but the game sort makes you feel very confused. A lot of times things work and then they don’t, you might like the way they did things and then a lot you won’t, yes, I know very confusing.
The story leaves the same feeling as the voice overs are done brilliantly and it kind of has a good story but there is something missing making it great!
A big word to sum up the game is confusing as you want to play it and explore everything and love everything and yet there are things missing and things that frustrate you. Never the less, the developers made a great attempt at something fresh and with some minor tweaks they might have something brilliant here.
