DC Comics saving grace might not be its savour at all but does the slogan have some truth behind it? “You Can’t Save the World Alone” Can one movie save a Universe or does it take a few?

For me it takes a few movies to really set a Universe up and to create a proper story line. Now the DCU cinematic universe has had 4 movies including Justice League so it should’ve been set up and stable but somehow things still feel a bit awry.

Justice League showed a lot of promise but personally I feel that it delivered a bit short. Don’t get me wrong it is a great movie and there was nothing gigantic wrong with it, but I didn’t get any “goose bump” moments or felt like jumping out of my seat.

So I’m feeling very conflicted at the moment as I think the movie, story and characters were very necessary and you can see it is building up to something huge but I was missing some great elements that would’ve made it just that much better.

Gal Gadot made a massive impression same as in the Wonder Woman movie, she definitely is an added bonus to the DCU and maybe one of the saving graces. I’m still on the fence with Ben Affleck although a bit more in the favour of than before. Henry Cavill is the “Boy Scout” come to life and if there was better story telling in his movies it would be equal to Reeves. Ezra Miller did a better job than what I thought we would even though sometimes it felt like his character tried too hard. Ray Fisher was also good but could’ve been more. Jason Momoa was the star of the show and he can definitely get his own movie which will sell out even if the story telling wasn’t great.

So, to sum it all up, I did enjoy Justice League and feel that there is good things to come but I still feel that either they are doing something wrong or they are just not getting the recipe right yet. Luckily DCU has a great following and the movie will still make money, I just hope they keep learning form mistakes to create something better every time.
