Rico Rodriguez is back in action, ready to cause some more chaos in Medici. A new region gets added called Insula Lacrima.
You can read my review of the base game here
The island used to be owned by the eDEN Corporation and with deals with the Black Hand they basically took over. The islands are full of new tech for you to play with and an awesome new Mech has been added.
The Anvil omni directional industrial mech a.k.a. Bavarium Splitter Mech a.k.a. Autocannon Mech or just Mech. Ha ha that is a mouth full. This thing is big, it is awesome and you can cause unbelievable mayhem and utter chaos with it. You will definitely have hours of fun just playing with the Mech.
To get the missions unlocked for Mech Land Assault you need to have at least completed the mission called Stowaway, if you try and access the island beforehand Rico will receive a radio message saying that the gravitational repulsion field will not be deactivated without authorization.
There is also a new ally faction available when you liberate areas on Insula Lacrima, they are unofficially called Lacrima Rebels or Former Prisoners of Lacrima. They will fight the fight with you and some of their arsenal has been taken from the Black Hand.
The DLC offers great new content for you to enjoy and even the missions are quite lengthy so well worth the bucks you fork out. A great addition to a fantastic game.
