Go Vacation is as variety activity sport game that was released originally for the Wii, now an HD port is available for the Nintendo Switch.
This title might’ve been missed by some Wii owners because of Wii Sports that held the crown when the game was released but surprising to me is that gamers was very pleased to hear that they will be bringing an HD port of Go Vacation to the Switch. I’m not a big fan of ports and re-masters and re-releases but seeing as I didn’t own a Wii this game was new to me.
Go Vacation has over 50 sport and outdoor activities for you to play and the game has great local multiplayer for up to 4 players. You can choose to either create an Avatar to play with or you can use your Mii character.
The game takes place on Kawawii Island, the island is split into 4 regions, Marine, City, Mountain and Snow. Each resort has their own unique activities and means of getting around like in the city resort you can use inline skates or a skateboard to roam around.
The game is very casual and has come competitive elements tied to it as well so thus it caters for a wider audience. You can choose to play to just enjoy it with friends, by yourself or take on the world. You can also take some leisure time and build your village to relax and add things that you purchased.
Go Vacation might be another re-release but this time I actually enjoyed it but only because I never owned a Wii and didn’t get a chance to experience this game the first time.
