PlayLink for PS4 has another cool party game added to the line-up, Frantics, a wacky, crazy and fun mini-game focused party game made for 2 – 4 players.
In Frantics, you will play random mini-games to compete for crowns and collect coins. There are 15 mini-games in total and they are a woot, your host also adds some great flavour with his “Foxiness”. As with the other PlayLink titles you play the game via an App on your Smartphone. Once you start the App, you join the game, take a selfie, get an animal avatar and wait for others to join in.
The host also creates some havoc with Secret missions to random players at times throughout a game or bribing some other player. Sabotage and backstabbing is encouraged in Frantics and almost a must to stand a chance to win.
Some of the great mini-games include the following but there are more for you to discover:
Friendless Runner – No one is your friend, be sure that you are the only one across the finish line. Bump and bash the others into obstacles.
ParaChuChu – A Fun way to fall to your death! Be the last one to open your shute and the first one to land to win in this game. Chicken doesn’t come close.
Icicle Pickle – Bump your frienemies off the side of this slippery platform to earn some crowns. Sabotage others and seek revenge when you have already fallen.
The games are easy to learn, great to play and is a lot of fun for a party of 4 but do not fret if you are only 2 players as Mr Fox will add 2 AI animals to join in the mayhem, I just do not know if I will trust them to play fair.
The graphics fit in well with the humour theme of the game and the audio compliments it. I didn’t pick up any glitches with the gameplay and our phones responded perfectly to the controls.
Frantics is a gem of a Title and makes the PlayLink range even stronger. You can host a great evening with all the titles on hand and have an epic Game Night with Friends.
