Fortnite is definitely interesting, it looks like Team Fortress meets The Walking Dead meets Minecraft. You basically go around scavenging and collecting resources, to build/protect objects from waves of Zombies. Between matches/stages you will look at all the stuff you collected and you can upgrade them if you have the resources. You can also unlock new skills if you have upgraded to a new level.

Here alone you will spend hours fine tuning your equipment, schematics, defenders, survivors, heroes and of course Llamas. Yes Llamas, instead of getting a chest or box or pack to open for rewards, you get Llamas, not any Llamas but Piñata Llamas. Smash them open to receive some awesome Goodies!!!

As some of you might know that has read some of my posts, I’m not a huge fan of online only games. I feel that they do not take countries like South Africa into account where most of our population still do not connect to the internet with a stable connection. Fortnite though played very well online and I only had connection problems one day while playing but I feel that they did miss a fantastic opportunity creating an offline mode as it would’ve added a whole new dynamic to the game.

At the moment, Fortnite is still in Early Access until 2018, you need to buy a Founders edition to the game if you want to play it now but if you wait until sometime in 2018 then you can play for free with in-game micro-transactions.

Fortnite is a fun game and if you are a fan of these genres then it surely is a title you need to own. 2018 it will be free but with these types of games it is great to get in early.
