Agent 11 has been called to duty to assist with various situations which involves you defeating your enemies with hand to hand combat, a martial arts chess game is the most accurate way to describe it, select from your 4 possible decks which you unlock by completing situations for that deck, as you progress you will find yourself often with more then one route to take which could vary from fighting areas, to events, medical areas and gyms where you could either upgrade or sell your cards.
Yes this game determines your moves with cards randomly drawn from your deck, you will have to choose wisely as you are only allowed 3 momentum initially, momentum is the currency used to play cards, this can increase however either by doing events or completing stages, another room for thought is that the damage you take will not reset after the stage but continue with you as you progress through the stages and fight the boss.
Although I did enjoy this, due to doing Martial Arts in the past this made me long for the days back in the dojo where you were taught how to defend yourself.
Once you have completed a stage the cards, health and perks you gain will carry over to the next stage if you decide to continue to play, the next stage will always stay unlocked for the deck you passed with, but if you health drops to 0 its literally game over, there is no retry, you will have to start the stage from scratch and all your perks and upgrades are gone so I would recommend rather playing the game from the beginning if you do fall in combat.
As entertaining as it might sound like the game itself might not be to everyone’s liking as one might become frustrated or annoyed with playing the same deck with the same moves repeatedly.
Final thoughts: Fun game initially going back to ones martial art but does not feel as if everyone would enjoy playing this game for hours on end, I am curious to see what the devs will be bringing out as the game progresses from the Beta phase into the full release.
