Disney+ Confirmed to launch into 42 Countries, Including South Africa

The wait is finally over! Sometime this Winter(Summer in Europe) we will finally be getting Disney+ in South Africa! Disney+ Launched in America on the 12th of November 2019 with a big slate of content that we here in SA could just dream of watching. However, the below news(check out the official press release) gives us high hopes for watching The Mandalorian and all the new content soon. There isn’t any mention of pricing yet, but we can expect that to come in the coming months.

Disney+ DevicesJohannesburg, South Africa (26 January 2022) – Disney+, the streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, confirmed that this winter it will launch in 42 countries and 11 new territories*. New countries include South Africa, Turkey, Poland and the United Arab Emirates.

With exclusive original content and thousands of episodes and movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and general entertainment from Star, Disney+ is the streaming home for some of the world’s most beloved stories.
