Diary of a wimpy kid- The Long Haul is the 4th movie in the series and picks up with a new cast but still uses the same over the top humour framed within a family road trip. As you probable experienced or can imagine that a family cramped into a minivan on a long trip makes for some inevitable craziness and conflict.

Young Greg Heffley is looking forward to a long summer of just hanging out, but his mother throws a monkey wrench into his plans when she forces the entire family to take a road trip for a relative’s birthday celebration. His eyes soon light up after he realizes that the excursion is his ticket to a gaming convention to meet YouTube sensation Mac Digby. Greg’s imagination then kicks into overdrive as he sneakily hatches a scheme to attend the expo and gain some much-deserved fame.

One of those stable franchises that is hoping to have managed to keep its fan base around long enough to make a 4th movie or create new fans from this one. This installment comes 5 years after the last movie and if you have not watched the Wimpy Kid series of movies then not to worry as the movie is easy to pick up and watch. It’s a good family movie if you need to pick one to watch with the standard predictable comedy that would ensue on a road trip.
