It’s been 11 years since the release of Devil May Cry 4, yes DmC came out in 2013 but its not part of the main story line of Devil May Cry. Enter Devil May Cry 5, something that almost every DMC fan has been waiting for.

Devil May Cry 5 takes place 5 years after the events of DMC4, suffice to say all hell has broken lose and Nero has lost his Demonic arm. But this is not a problem as Nico has supplied him with a new prosthetic arm called Devil Breaker and buy does it break devils/demons backs.

The game play in DMC5 is fast paced, using your Sword, gun and devil breaker makes for some pretty devastating combos. In Devil May Cry 5 you get to play as Nero, Dante and V each with there unique skills and abilities. I love the fast pace combs and then my very favorite feature is the secret side missions(there goes Gert again on a side quest)! Capcom has included two modes for you to select, Human mode is for when you have never played an DMC game(like me) and then Dante must Die….which is made for the veteran DMC players.

Devil May Cry 5 also included some multiplayer action which is called the Cameo System! As you play online(if you have your PS Plus sub) then other players can join your game or you theirs. You can even grade there game play when the mission is done. This for me makes it worthwhile to play it online.

I really love the story so far of Devil May Cry 5 and would love to see a movie made of this someday. The animation and detail to the graphics in the game are just stunning.

Overall I was really happy with the game and would recommend it to any DMC fan and to players that love beat-em ups. The gameplay is fast paced and has a great story to tell as well. As you progress you can upgrade your weapons and then there is also the multiplayer aspect of the game. This is your local mad scientist signing out….Now to track down the other DMC games to go play them….
