Demon Souls Review

Bluepoint games is back with what is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2020 and of course the PlayStation 5. Demon’s Souls was released back in 2009 and was one the best yet most difficult games, ushering in its own new Genre and Increased difficulty in games after it being The Dark Souls Trilogy. If you’ve never played a Souls-Like game before you’re in for a surprise.

The PlayStation 5 remake has been incredibly well done and has gone as far as even fine tuning and enhancing the combat from the original game. Changes have been made to the visuals, vocal sounds, cutscenes, animations and even the UI. But underneath it all is still the same Demon’s Souls you love – or Hated back in 2009. You’ll start off by creating a character, picking your own class and then get launched into the game, With hardly any Tutorials whatsoever, aaaand you’ll probably die 10 minutes into the game. This is exactly how the game was meant to be played.

While the game does feature a lot of Enhancements its worth noting that the enemies and items behave exactly the same way they used to back in the original game. This combined with the Tech on the PlayStation 5 such as the new SSD that basically kills load times to 5 seconds or even less and the improved graphical engine with raytracing makes this game a must play.

Demon’s Souls is one of the most brutal, difficult and yet Rewarding games to have ever been made.

Demons souls manages to capture the essence of the original game, The game might not be for everyone but if you keep playing and eventually start learning the game its an experience that’s extremely rewarding and makes for easily one of the best video games of all time.
