Death is taking over the Nintendo Switch as the Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition launches on the system. Re-live this great instalment of the Darksiders franchise on your switch and take it on the go.
Darksiders II was my most favourite release in the franchise so far and it actually got me hooked on the series. Read my review of the Deathinitive Edition when it first released here. Darksiders III that was released earlier this year did not fare as well and you can read my coverage of that here.
Because Darksiders II was my favourite, I was really excited to hear that it will be coming to the Switch. I could not wait to get started and to re-play this game on one of my favourite new-gen consoles. Now with editions like this you should all know that you get more than just the base game, below is the list of what is included in the Deathinitive Edition.
- Darksiders II: The Abyssal Forge
- Darksiders II: The Demon Lord Belial
- Darksiders II: Argul’s Tomb
- Maker Armor Set
- Death Rides
- Angel of Death
- Deadly Despair
- Shadow of Death
- Mortis Pack
- Rusanov’s Axe
- Van Der Schmash Hammer
- Fletcher’s Crow Hammer
- Mace Maximus
I found that the game runs really well on the Switch system with some long loading times at certain places or when moving to a new location, the game will stop to load a bit. This was all expected from my side and this was all experienced from handheld mode. The game looks great as it does on the PS4 and Xbox system which is a plus.
It is great to be able to enjoy a Darksiders game on the Switch system and thoroughly enjoyed reliving Darksiders II. If you own a Switch then this game should be on your radar to get added to your library. I’m very happy they decided to release Darksiders II on the Switch and not yet Darksiders III.
