Cosplay is evolving every year and the latest wow-factor that a lot of the top cosplayers try to incorporate into their cosplays is the use of electronics and LED lighting. The South African cosplay community has embraced this new skill fully and we are seeing more and more cosplays featuring brilliant lighting and animatronics.

Chaotic Good Cosplay is one of the SA cosplayers that has been working with electronics, not only as part of her cosplay hobby, but in her professional life as well, as she is a qualified electrical engineer by trade. She was recently featured as a GES Cosplayer of the Month, and she agreed to let us feature a video that she recently made to highlight electronics for cosplay.

“When beginning to explore the world of electronics, it is important to know where to go to find what you are looking for. There are many electronics suppliers, especially in Gauteng, which makes it difficult to determine which one is the best in terms of price, quality and advice. This video presents four suppliers which are reliable and gives tips on how to approach going shopping for your next cosplay project” –Chaotic Good Cosplay

About Linda Jager

Linda Jager
I’m proudly Geek and have a passion for all things pop-culture. Huge fan of The Walking Dead. Lover of gadgets and technology and although I’m not a gamer (sadly no hand-eye co-ordination) I find myself drawn to the gaming culture and community and how it connects with one of my biggest passions – collecting action figures and statues. I love to watch movies and series and there’s nothing better than having conversations with other people about the things I feel so passionately about. Being an 80’s child I am a huge fan of retro stuff and my Thundercats collection is one of my most prized possessions. That, and my A-Team van. Follow me on Twitter @LindaAtGES
