Constructor Plus brings building simulation to the Switch and now you can build your empire on the go. A building simulator that has some different flavours to the traditional building simulators.
I’ve never player Constructor Plus before I was able to try it on the Switch and was pleasantly surprised of what a cool game it is. The base of the game is that you take control of a construction company and need to build your empire while keeping the mob and government happy and balancing workers, money and tenants. It’s weird to think that the Constructor series is over twenty years old.
You start off small, building basic resource buildings and residential building of the lowest class. The tenants of these buildings can be tasked to either pay you rent or procreate and create a work force for you. As you progress the buildings and residential buildings become more lavish and extravagant but so does the management of them.
Management of your own company is not enough and soon enough you will have some competitors on your turf and so the battle begins to come out on top even if it means to perform some under the belt tasks. I enjoy the quirkiness of the game and it makes for a very enjoyable time as you grow your empire.
The game plays well on the Switch and ones you learn the controls it is quite easy to navigate. If you are used to playing these types of games on PC with a mouse and keyboard it does take some time to get to grips with, but it works. I didn’t experience any problems with the game on the Switch and is a great title to have on the go.
Constructor Plus is a great addition to the Switch game line-up and I’m very happy to see more of these types of games becoming available on consoles.
