For the last 2 weeks I had the ASUS TUF Gaming H7 wireless headset to review and I must say I am really impressed. The TUF Gaming H7 features a 53mm Neodymium Magnet driver, +-15 hours of Gameplay on a single charge, 25m wireless 2.4GHz connection and the most comfortable ear cups ever(silk for your ears).

My normal test for wireless headsets normally is to put on my favorite song list and walk around the living room/kitchen to see how far I can go before the headset disconnects from its receiver, and I got so far as the back porch. This is a bit further than with the PS4 wireless headset(there is about 3 walls in the way). Speaking of the PS4, the H7 Wireless connects without any problems with the PS4 and when playing Control on it I could tell where my enemies were coming from. When I loaded the H7 Wireless on the PC, I could access a bit more features on it and got to finetune the lightning experience thanks to the ASUS Armoury II software where I could select profiles.

The TUF Gaming H7 is also very soft(feels like silk to me) on the ears when you have it on and I even forgot once that I had it on! The ear cushions on this unit is phenomenal and it even caters to gamers that wear Glasses!

I also tested the battery lifespan and got to about 13-15 hours gameplay before I had to recharge the unit, this for me is ok(as I only get chance in the evenings to play for about 2-2 and a half hours). The H7 Wireless also features a nice auto off mode to save power when the unit is not in use. It also took me roughly 2 hours to fully charge the unit again.

The TUF Gaming H7 does come in 3 flavors, the H7 Core, H7 and the H7 wireless. All 3 will work on your PC,Mac and PS4 but it is only the Core and standard H7 that will also work with your Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Overall I was really pleased with the TUF Gaming H7 Wireless, it really does what it says on the box. It has great battery life, very comfortable ear cups and great audio power. At R1720 I really think it is a bargain buy. I would recommend this to any gamer looking for a new pair of wireless headsets. This is your local Mad Scientist signing out….looks like I have another headset to put on the xmas list.
