Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath Of The Druids Review

After a phenomenal launch, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is back with their first round of Expansions, Titled Wrath of the Druids.

Wrath of the Druids has a really decent sized Campaign totalling around 10hours or so, it also has quite a huge new Map to Explore taking place in Ireland this time. That means rolling green hills, dark mushy swamps, gorgeous mountain ranges and of course green farmlands in between the town hubs.

Wrath of the druids starts off with a newcomer on your dock, aptly named Azar The One-Eyed. Azar tells you a bit about Ireland and mentions that your cousin, Barid is the King of Dublin. A quick quest later on and you’re off to Ireland to meet your cousin. Upon arriving in Dublin you meet your Cousin the King Barid, however, it turns out the king titles are given away really easily as you soon find out there are multiple “Kings” in Ireland. After meeting your cousin its not long before drama ensues and theres a whole lot of quests for you to do.

In Ireland there a few new ways to upgrade your primary hub, in this case, Ireland. Taking it from level 1 all the way up to level 5 as you did with Ravensthorpe. To do this, however, you need to raid monasteries and gain Trade Post Supplies. Using these you can find and upgrade trade posts that you will find throughout the land. Each one specializing in a certain type of material that will help you upgrade Dublin as a Trading Hub.

With regards to starting the Expansion all you need to do is complete one of the main arcs in England. This can be done in a couple of hours and that will grant you access to the Ireland Expansion. The power level requirement is scaled to your level however if you have completed the end game already, The Expansion will feel like a walkthrough. I was already at power level 400 and blasted through the Expansion really easily.

Final Thoughts:

Assassins Creed Valhalla Wrath Of The Druids give a really sizeable Expansion to the main game. It has tons of new and fun activities and a really good storyline to complete. This is definitely a high-quality Expansion that every lover of the original should pick up.
