The prequel to Annabelle taking even deeper look into her origin story, this is the third movie in “The Conjuring Horrorverse” which is testament to amount of care and time spent of the creators put into building its characters and stories. There is even news that the Nun will be getting its own spinoff franchise.

A dollmaker tragically loses his young daughter after a church service when she runs across the road. Several years later the dollmaker and his wife decide to open their home to a nun and six orphaned girls when the local orphanage is shut down. The presence of the girls uncovers the hidden truths within their home and awakens a dormant evil presence.

Insidious, The Conjuring and Annabelle have been some of my favorite horror franchises as its rich and layered with a certain quality to the story, leaving the viewer wanting more. If you are already a fan then you simply have to watch. It can also be easily segmented from the connected overall story that you can easily pick it up.
