Get ready to race, jump, roll and crash! TrackMania Turbo is a fast paced arcade racer that focusses on speed and stunts, emphasis on stunts. This is the first TrackMania game to come out on Consoles since 2009. It is also the first Racing game that support 4 player split screen for the PS4 and Xbox One.

TrackMania has always been a fun, addictive racing game. Anyone can pick up and play the game but you have to be willing to practise to become a master at the stunts. The fun doesn’t stop with TrackMania Turbo, for any type of gamer this game will be fun.

The game has four different locations with about 40 tracks each for you to master. You race against the clock trying to beat a certain time to earn either a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal. Earning medals will unlock new tracks and also some visual customisations for your cars. You can’t choose what car to drive on which track, this depends on the location you drive at. Each car feels a little different but it suits the style of the location that you are driving at.

Apart from driving it solo, you can also play 4 player split screen to add some couch war fun. If that is not enough there is a two drivers one car mode, here you have two controllers steering one car. You can just imagine the craziness that can come from this.

The online mode is where things become interesting, you join a room or you can create your own. This room then has a set track that you drive and within a certain time limit you need to try and get the best time. This can be quite exhilarating as you see time ticking by and people scurrying to try and improve their time to climb the ranks.

When you have exhausted all of that you can also try out the track editor mode. The TrackMania series is famous for their track building modes and they have spared no expense again in Turbo. There are some tutorials for you to look at and different levels you can build at. Beginner mode will give you limit tracks to add and will make sure your track is not wonky, everything else the editor will generate automatically, then you get your intermediate mode with more options and freedom. If you think you can handle it you can go straight to the advanced mode giving you complete control.

The only issue I found with the track editor is that I could not go edit one piece of track after finishing my build.

The game looks great and the music will definitely help to boost the adrenalin, as always TrackMania Turbo is fun, crazy and will challenge you on every turn. A really fun arcade racer, a great choice to own on consoles.
