SpongeBob SquarePants is just one of those shows that viewers of all generations absolutely adore in which the humour is absurdly wacky. It is a show that really broke the mold on Nickelodeon shows in combining 2D and 3D Animation with a mix of Live action, so as to be expected the movie is a over the top ramped up version of the show.

Antonio Banderas plays the nefarious pirate Burger Beard who steals the secret recipe for the beloved Krabby Patty. Total anarchy reigns in Bikini Bottom after the last Krabby Patty is sold. The only thing that can restore Bikini Bottom to its former state is to get the recipe back and reopen the Krusty Krab. In a twist the evil Plankton finally has a shared interest with SpongeBob in that rescuing the recipe from the world above the sea and joins the team.

SpongeBob and friends once on land end up transforming themselves into their inner superhero which looked a lot like the Avengers. Their adventure just gets crazier and crazier on SpongeBob and friends journey to retrieve the recipe. Its good entertainment for the whole family just don’t expect it to make any sense.
