I wasn’t sure what to expect with this game, how can insults be changed into a game? I was pleasantly surprised by the thought that went into the game and the humour of it.
Insult Simulator is a battle of wits, you choose your character, and jump into a situation, like a parrot that you bought is dead and you want to return it to the pet shop but an argument starts with the owner and…
The game has a cool tutorial that teaches you how the game works, basically each player gets a turn to choose a word/s to start building an insult. You can end your sentence at any time as long as it makes sense, there is even and opportunity to take your sentence to the next round but note that this will give your opponent an “open shot”. Once a turn you also have the option to sip some tee to get two bonus word choices. As you hit your opponent with your insult, it will damage their wits and obviously the objective is to drain it to zero.
As you build an insult you can get combos or rude bonus or even hitting a character’s weakness. Each character has their own weakness which will inflict extra damage to them, there are some characters to unlock by completing some tasks but this you will have to figure out on your own.
You can play this against the AI or even take on friends, you can also take on people online if you feel up to the insults. There is a tournament mode as well which you will take a journey through 5 insult situations.
The game is cool and does what it was developed to do, Entertain. It is quick to get into, can have tons of fun with friends and might event teach you some grammar!
