Presenting Tales from the Borderlands! A spin-off game based on the original Borderlands series, created by Gearbox Software and 2K Australia, that was released in 2008 and has continued to be a major success.
Telltale Games, also the creator’s of Telltale’s “The Walking Dead” and “The Wolf Among Us”, associated with Gearbox Software and 2K Games to bring us this story-driven episodic point-and-click adventure comedy game, with a new spin on the story, where your decisions and actions have consequences on the progression and elements of the story, relying on your responses during the majority of dialogues, quick-time events, the ability to scan objects with a robotic eye… and more!
The timeline in the game follows the events after Borderlands 2, and contains five “episodes”, where you follow the adventures of the two protagonists, Rhys, a Hyperion company man who dreams to be like Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a con-artist aiming for her biggest score. The story is full of Borderland’s trademark humour, as well as references to other games and other classics.
The game received very positive reviews from many critics, scoring a 10/10 on Steam, 4.5/5 on Google Play, 9/10 on GameSpot, and IGN.com gave it an identical score, calling it “SPECTACULAR” in their Editor’s Choice review, while GamesRadar+ gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 after the finale.
These scores are justified when considering the cast of the game, the plot, game mechanics, etc.
Join Cyfer in his newest Let’s Play journey of this game, where you can see the hilarity of his mistakes, or just general hilarity, unfold as he traverses the unforgiving lands of Pandora. Two videos will be released per week. A final score for the game will be added when the final episode has been uploaded.
