Darkness has fallen over the lands of Diablo 3 and no, it is not a new evil that has come to town but more an unlikely hero, the Necromancer.

The long favourite characters class from Diablo 2 finally emerges in Diablo 3 with a whole new bundle. First off, the biggest question will be, how much will it cost me and what do I get?

On PS4, Rise of the Necromancer will cost you R255 and you will receive the following:

  • The new Necromancer class
  • Extra hero slots
  • Portrait Frame, a Pennant, Banner shape and sigil
  • Half-formed Golem Pet
  • Wings of the Crypt Guardian
  • New legendary items and sets

If you do not yet own Diablo 3 on PS4 then you can buy the Eternal Collection which will cost you R999 but includes Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls and the Rise of the Necromancer. To support the new pack, a new update was released which added some cool stuff as well Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone, Temple of the Firstborn zone, and the Realms of Fate.

Now that we have covered on how much it is or what you will get, let’s get down to the business, The Necromancer class. Straight from the beginning I was pleasantly surprised by the class it makes the game feel a bit more darker and more gothic than before and the power of the Necromancer will make you awe.

The skills of the Necromancer are vast and useful in so many ways, as with all the other characters there are different skills in the 7 different categories. For the Necromancer they are Primary, Secondary, Blood & Bone, Reanimation, Curses, Corpses, Passives. One of my favourite is where you control a small army of skeletons and can make then charge a single target with enhanced damage attack.

Corpses are very important for the Necromancer as some of his/her skills rely heavily on them. One skill might make them explode while another will use them to raise the dead, some passive skills will give you a boost on the number of corpses consumed.

The Rise of the Necromancer pack is definitely worth the R255 and if you do not have Diablo 3 on Console yet now is the perfect time and you can invest in the Eternal Collection edition. Diablo 3 will be played for weekends on end by many and tons of Necromancer will fill the lands of New Tristram and the like.
