Next to Guardians of the Galaxy is this my favorite new Marvel movie. The way that they filmed it makes you feel like you the same size as Scott Lang and you can relate to him in his current situation. The last movie that I saw that used miniaturization like this was “Honey, I shrunk the kids” back in 19-voetsek. The jokes are funny and the acting is superb, I just love the way that the two main guys (Mr Douglas and Mr Rudd) work so well together.

The local 2D Blu-ray release that we got is a one disc blu-ray(two discs if you get the 3d Blu-ray version) It has Audio commentary(by Peyton Reed And Paul Rudd), some features(Making Of An Ant-Sized Heist: A How-To Guide and more!), Gag reel(which is funny) and Deleted scenes. The audio quality is superb as it is DTS-HD 7.1, if your sound system is really good you will hear every little thing that is in the movie even the Ants! The menus are motion menus so no more static Pictures that you have to look at(sorry dvd owners I don’t know if you also have motion menus).

Overall I am really happy with this release and will proudly put it into my Marvel collection. My only dislike of this set is that it is not the 3D Blu-ray, but to defend it I must also say that I don’t have a 3D TV so it would have been a loss for me in any case. I would definitely recommend this to any Marvel fan that doesn’t have the Phase 2 Collector’s box from the states yet. This is your local Mad Scientist signing out……now where am I going to get a 3d Tv

  • Wish it was in Blu-ray 3D
  • With that said…I wish I had a 3d Tv to watch the 3d version on!
