Talent not Included is a small fun little game with great intensions. The intro grabbed me instantly as how many times did I sit with friends say “let’s do this…”.
The intro talks about the guys sitting around being bored and throwing out things to do like writing a play or creating a video game, then they decide to create a video game about a play. Such a cool idea and the subtle humour in the game is amazing.
Talent not Included is an action platformer, you literally travel across a “stage” collecting stuff to progress. The stage floor revolves to change the stage scenery/obstacles, you need to collect a gear looking object to progress further, travelling left to right, right to left and so on.
The theme is of an actual theatre and play, everything play perfectly into the theme, form the revolving stage floor to the “actor/s” to the music and sounds. The subtle humour used is cleverly crafted and pushed into the game also tying into the theme. Throughout the whole experience the intro still gets stuck in your mind of these guys that were bored and decided to create this game about a play.
The game has local Co-Op as well, so no longer do you need to die alone, now you can bring a friend down with you.
I’m crazy about this little title. Every time I start it, I think: “I’ll just play for 5 minutes”. Suddenly 2 hours would’ve past. A very cool addictive platformer that will keep you coming back for more.
